Understanding the Role of a Support Coordinator

What to Expect From an NDIS Review

NDIS reviews can feel stressful, but they’re really just a chance to check what’s working and what needs to change. A review looks at your progress, your goals, and whether your current supports are still the right fit.

Here’s What Usually Happens:

  • You’ll be contacted by the NDIA to schedule your review meeting.
  • You’ll discuss what’s going well, what’s not, and what you’d like to achieve next.
  • You may be asked to provide reports from therapists, support workers, or service providers.
  • After the review, your plan may be adjusted to better meet your needs.

Tip: Keep notes throughout the year about what’s been helpful—it makes the review much smoother

Getting Ready for Your NDIS Planning Meeting

A planning meeting is where you and your NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) talk through your goals and the supports you need to reach them. Good preparation helps you feel confident and ensures your plan reflects your real needs.

Before the Meeting, Think About:

  • What’s working well in your current plan
  • Any challenges you’ve faced
  • New goals or changes in your circumstances
  • Reports or evidence that support your requests
